Description

Our CreditAble software product is designed to meet the needs of all businesses that accept Credit Card Payments for their products or services.

It is particularly suitable for Mail-Order and Tele-Sales where the card is not to hand and the number has to be hand keyed into a terminal or referred by telephone.

THE CreditAble FAMILY

CreditAble makes the authorisation of Credit Sales an integral part of keying other sales related data such as name & address. This reduces the time needed to process each sale and hence the handling costs of each transaction.

The Product

The facilities described below can be purchased either as a free-standing product or as a set of modules for integration into your own applications software.

It can provide a service directly to users connected locally to the same machine and to machines connected by wide or local-area networks.

CreditAble looks after all aspects of talking to the outside validation service, leaving the application to provide just a few items of data:- the Card Number, its expiry date and the amount of the transaction.

An audit trail is always produced showing all details of each request and the result.

User Interface

There are several user interfaces to the software including :-

Direct on-line access for local users with a keyboard & screen,

Multi Client to Gateway Server Host-to-Host access,

Batch input from a comma separated variable (CSV) file,

and as a TSR activated by another software package.

Authorisation provider interface

CreditAble can simultaneously link to any number of agreed Credit Authorisation Services over X25 provided that they conform to APACS30 message standards.

CreditAble supports the full APACS30 message set including refunds and reversals.

It can also be configured to act on down-loaded floor limits, and referral phone numbers from any of the services it has access to.

Transaction Delivery

Once the Authorised sale has been completed the transaction is stored ready for delivery to request payment.

Hardware Platforms

IBM PC or Compatible. DOS 3.1 or higher.
Any Unix Computer (eg SVR4, 386/486, 68000, ICL DRS 3000/6000)
X25 connection to Credit Card Authorisation Host, via PSTN, PAD or PAKNET Radio PAD.
Mainframe systems with TCP/ip link to Gateway Server computer to run CreditAble.

Software

The system software has been written in 'C'. On Unix it is X-Open compatible.

In each environment it needs :-

DOS Networks Drivers, Windows 9?/NT/2000 (with TCP/ip)
Unix SVR3.2 or SVR4 with TCP/IP and X25 Device Drivers
